CDEarth is offering some of the classic video games that we all started out with years ago. If only I had every quarter that Hubby stuck into the slots trying to beat Asteroids and Pac-Mac, just to think of them all going from our pockets into the vendors pockets, clink clink clink. We certainly never thought that in the near future that we would be able to sit down at home and with a few key strokes on a keyboard play these games that we could only play at bars, Chuckie Cheese and a few other places here and there back in the 80’s.

I remember my sister was dating a guy who was the manager at the local Chuckie Cheese, he would invite her and her 3 young sons to come to the place and he would give the kids unlimited tokens to keep them entertained while he courted my sister. I went along one time and took one of my kids when she was about 4 and we had a blast, eating free pizza, drinking free drinks and cups and cups overflowing with tokens. That was about as close to heaven as those kids could be at that time. Those are good memories to remember now,. I’ll have to ask my sister if she remembers, next time we chat. She won’t be at my mother’s over the week-end, she lives to far away for a short visit like this one is intended on being, though I sure wish she would, I haven’t seen her too many years now.

I wonder if Hubby would appreciate a copy of CDEarth Greatest Classic Video Games CD for a gift sometime, it is too late for Father’s Day and we got him a nice 47″ flat screen TV that hopefully will come sometime next week.

I’ve included the most recent Press Release about the software for an FYI

CD Earth LLC,(www.cdearth.com) is excited to announce the release of the Greatest Classic Video Games CD now available for Windows PC and Mac OSX.

The new CD includes 10 classic games and will be a sure hit with anyone who played the original video games. Stack falling bubbles, break through brick walls, stack colors against the clock, eat cookies while avoiding pesky ghosts, pop balloons with harpoons, smash tomatoes plus rescue a princess all while putting your spaceship back together.

Preview of some of the games on the CD:

1. Break through over 50 unique, challenging levels. Power the bouncing ball to smash through brick walls. Lots of power-ups plus extra balls, energy balls, extra lives, weapons, glue, bonus floors, paddle expansion and extra score make the game even more fun.
2. Gobble up cookies while escaping from hungry ghosts in this updated version of the classic arcade game.
3. Smiling bubbles. Don’t let the friendly smiles fool you. Group the falling bubbles to make them explode before they reach the top.
4. Pop balloons with a harpoon and avoid being hit in this fast-paced game.
5. Run and jump through multiple worlds, fighting off enemies by jumping on them or bumping them from below.
6. Eat your tomatoes. How many tomatoes can you smash in ten short minutes? If you have the time to spare, this game has the vegetables just waiting to be eliminated!
7. Colorful, addicting game where you quickly lineup blocks of the same color before time runs out.
8. Guide a lost traveler from outer space, through towers and across cemeteries to collect what he needs to rebuild his spaceship.
